Your Website Is Ready
This guide explains how to accept, publish, and manage your new Framer website.
Keep the delivery email from Onfly. It contains the links and access details specific to your project.
Start Here
Before promoting your website, complete these steps:
Accept the Framer project.
Activate a Framer website plan.
Connect your custom domain.
Test the website on desktop and mobile.
Test all forms and links.
Connect analytics.
Verify Google Search Console.
Review your cookie banner and legal pages.
Publish the website.
Accept Your Framer Project
Your delivery email contains a Framer project transfer or Remix link.
Open the link and sign in to your Framer account. We recommend using an email address owned by your company.
After accepting the project, you will be responsible for:
your Framer subscription;
website publishing;
collaborator access;
domain settings;
future content updates.
Do not share one Framer login between multiple people. Invite collaborators using their own Framer accounts.
Activate a Framer Plan
A paid Framer plan is normally required to connect a custom domain and publish the website.
Inside Framer:
Open the project.
Open Site Settings.
Select Plans.
Choose the appropriate website plan.
Complete the payment.
The Framer subscription is paid directly to Framer and is not included in the Onfly project price unless stated otherwise.
Connect Your Domain
To publish the website on your own domain:
Open Site Settings in Framer.
Select Domains.
Choose Connect a domain you own.
Enter your domain.
Copy the DNS records provided by Framer.
Add these records through your domain provider.
Return to Framer and wait for verification.
DNS changes may take some time to become active.
Important
Do not delete unrelated DNS records. They may be required for:
business email;
domain verification;
other websites;
third-party services.
Contact your domain provider when you are unsure which records should be changed.
Edit Website Content
You can normally update:
text;
images;
buttons;
links;
contact details;
page titles;
meta descriptions;
social sharing images.
Changes to the following elements may affect the website layout or functionality:
components;
responsive breakpoints;
layout constraints;
animations;
forms;
custom code;
CMS structure.
Before making major changes, duplicate the Framer project and keep the original version as a backup.
Publish Changes
Changes made inside Framer are not visible on the live website until you publish them.
Before publishing:
Preview the website.
Check the desktop layout.
Check the mobile layout.
Test all important links.
Test every website form.
Check spelling and contact details.
Click Publish.
Publishing will update the live website.
Test Website Forms
Submit a test enquiry through every form on the website.
Check that:
the form submits successfully;
the confirmation message appears;
the message reaches the correct email address;
the Reply-To address works;
the message is not sent to spam;
all required fields work correctly.
Repeat this test whenever you change the form destination or integration.
Connect Analytics
We recommend connecting the following services.
Google Analytics 4
Google Analytics helps you understand:
how many people visit the website;
where visitors come from;
which campaigns generate traffic;
which devices and countries visitors use;
which actions result in conversions.
PostHog
PostHog can be used for:
conversion funnels;
visitor journeys;
button events;
session recordings;
form completion analysis.
Do not record passwords, payment information, private form answers, or sensitive personal data.
Google Tag Manager
Google Tag Manager allows you to manage analytics and advertising scripts without editing the website every time.
Connect Google Search Console
Google Search Console helps you monitor:
whether Google has indexed your website;
which search queries generate visits;
clicks and impressions;
indexing problems;
sitemap status.
To connect it:
Create a Google Search Console property.
Verify ownership of your domain.
Submit your sitemap.
Request indexing for important pages.
Your sitemap will normally be available at: https://yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml
You may also connect Bing Webmaster Tools.
Review SEO Settings
Before launch, check every important page.
Page settings
page title;
meta description;
page URL;
canonical URL;
social sharing image;
favicon.
Content settings
one clear H1 heading;
logical H2 headings;
descriptive image alt text;
meaningful button text;
internal links;
clear and readable copy.
Do not change an existing page URL after launch unless you also configure a redirect.
Cookies and Privacy
Analytics and advertising services may require user consent depending on your visitors and local legal requirements.
Your website should include:
Privacy Policy;
Cookie Policy;
Terms of Service;
Cookie Settings;
a cookie consent banner where required.
Non-essential analytics and marketing scripts should not load before consent where prior consent is required.
Update your legal pages whenever you add a new analytics, advertising, form, payment, or customer-data service.
Services You Need to Maintain
Your website may depend on several active services.
Framer
Required for website hosting, editing, and publishing.
Domain
Your domain must be renewed through your domain provider.
Business Email
Email-related DNS records must remain active for your company email to work.
Analytics
Keep access to your Google Analytics, PostHog, and Search Console accounts.
Forms
Check the destination email address and service limits regularly.
Third-Party Services
External fonts, widgets, APIs, and integrations may have separate subscriptions and usage limits.
Onfly does not manage these services after delivery unless agreed separately.
Security
Use company-owned accounts for all important services.
We recommend that you:
enable two-factor authentication;
use unique passwords;
store passwords in a password manager;
remove access for former employees;
avoid sharing login credentials;
review collaborators regularly;
keep domain and billing access under company control.
Never send passwords or payment-card information by email.
Backups
Before making major changes:
Duplicate the Framer project.
Give the copy a clear name and date.
Make changes in the duplicate.
Test everything.
Publish only after checking the result.
Also save important brand files, images, and copy documents in your own company storage.
Support and Project Scope
The standard Onfly package does not include:
revision rounds;
ongoing website management;
regular content updates;
new pages;
new integrations;
long-term technical support.
You may report a material technical issue or an agreed scope item missing from the delivery within the period stated in your delivery email.
When reporting an issue, include:
the affected page;
